Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff AccountantThe Senior Staff Accountant will handle key responsibilities in the accounting and finance department. You will show experience in working with reconciliations, accounts payable, financial analysis, and will show a demonstrated knowledge in working with QuickBooks. This role is crucial in contributing to the overall success of Gravity.Responsibilities and Duties:Perform daily cash reconciliations and collections reporting, including posting of cash receipts to QuickBooks.Process daily / weekly accounts payableManage and train a team of staff accountantsCreate, prepare, and update supporting schedules and reconciliations required for the month-end financial statement close processAssist with inventory management including month-end and mid-month cycle countsPerform cost analysis and review of invoices to confirm appropriate pricingAssist with other accounting and finance functions as necessaryRequired Skills and Abilities:Experience in operational accounting close work, performing data review and calculation of technical resultsWorking knowledge in general ledger systemsMust have good working knowledge of US GAAP accountingAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulasEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.3 or more years of applicable work experience; preferably with exposure to general ledger, month-end close and reconciliation in an ERP environment.Advanced Excel skills required, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 poundsGravity Diagnostics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
