Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational programs for patients and families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond clinical settings.
• Participate in the occasional performance of inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with all regulations set by state, federal, and healthcare organizations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the industry through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
