Able to prioritize and execute best safety practices Able to work independently and in a team DAY TO DAY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AS A PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR: Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form sheet metal components according to engineering drawings, work orders, and production requirements. Select and install appropriate tooling, including punches and dies, and perform machine setup, programming, and bend sequence verification. Read and interpret blueprints, bend drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate part production. Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to verify bend angles, dimensions, hole locations, and cosmetic quality. Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and gauges, to ensure compliance with specifications. Identify and report nonconforming parts, stopping production when quality standards are not met and assisting with corrective actions. Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and accurate production records while adhering to all safety and quality requirements. PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS (I.e. education/years’ experience/software/industry or position experience): Experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components. Ability to perform quality inspections and verify parts meet dimensional and workmanship standards. Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and the ability to work safely around fabrication equipment and material handling devices. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented production environment. High School Diploma or GED. 1-3 years of press brake, metal fabrication, or sheet metal manufacturing experience preferred.
