Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit serving a diverse patient population across multiple disease processes
• Care for patients with conditions involving Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal systems
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Must adhere to facility float policy
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
