You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with the public and team members, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 06:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, supporting controlled access to restricted areas and assisting with visitor direction as needed. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
