As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas to help identify and report security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, observe activity throughout the location, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal supervision and designated client representatives. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or license. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
