Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol License Qualified in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving post combines public-facing service, clear communication, and sound judgment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities. Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
