As an unarmed Security Officer at a retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail mall location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
