As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur10:45 AM - 09:15 PMSat10:45 AM - 06:15 PMSun10:45 AM - 06:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities at a public museum location. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor visitor flow and observe exhibits, restricted areas, and facility conditions, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with museum personnel, guests, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed. Minimum Requirements: Be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
