Job Description As a Security Guard Full Time Armed Associate Degree Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate emergency personnel when needed. Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate. This is primarily a driving post. Customer service experience is preferred. Baton Certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
