Pay Rate: $21.91 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:30 AM - 08:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat09:30 AM - 06:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vehicle activity; report suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations to designated personnel. Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
