Principal Duties And Responsibilities Philosophy Provides leadership and supervision for programs and services. Supports the agency’s mission, goals and objectives and clinical philosophy.\ Ensures all staff performs in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Follows agency standards for ethical clinical and business standards. Conducts self as a positive role model for staff at all times. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Clinical Oversight Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services in accordance with evidence-based practices. Develop and implement policies, and protocols to maintain and enhance clinical standards. Supervision and Staff Development Directly supervise and mentor clinical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support. Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify professional development opportunities, and ensure staff compliance with relevant training requirements. Budget Management Develop and manage the annual budget for the group home’s operational needs, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Monitor expenses, analyze financial reports, and collaborate with administrative staff to make informed budgetary decisions. Regulatory Compliance Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations governing mental health services in forensic settings. Ensure the group home’s compliance with all applicable licensing and accreditation standards. Program Development and Evaluation Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and evaluation therapeutic programs that meet the unique needs of the residents. Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements. Risk Management Identify and address potential risks related to clinical services, safety, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration and Communication Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, support staff and any external providers. Act as a liaison between the clinical team and upper management, providing regular updates on the program performance. Quality Assurance Implement quality assurance measures to assess and enhance the effectiveness of clinical services. Develop and maintain a system of monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Required 3-5 years of relevant work experience Credentialed as Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) minimum of 3 years Extensive experience in a mental health or forensic setting with a strong background in clinical supervision. Knowledge of applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in forensic mental health. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a supervisor, budgeting, crisis intervention, assessment, and service planning. Master’s degree in a relevant mental health field (ie: Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling).Licensed eligible or certification in the applicable discipline. Work Qualifications Ability to understand agency billing and reimbursement regulations such as Medicaid, Medicare and HUD Ability to respond to stressful and crisis situation in a calm and professional manner Demonstrate knowledge of computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and on-line clinical and administrative systems Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships while addressing complex and sensitive administrative and clinical issues Physical Demands None.
