WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: If you love exploring remote places and have always dreamed of flying across Alaska in a helicopter, or traveling by ATV and snowmachine to your work sites, this job is perfect for you. You'll get to hike through the Alaska wilderness and visit various locations throughout the state. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing public safety radio communications equipment, which involves climbing towers, servicing generators, programming radios, and performing some landscaping tasks. OUR ORGANIZATION, MISSION, AND CULTURE:
Each technician plays a vital role in our close-knit team, working collaboratively to uphold a reliable network for Public Safety, DOT, and various other state agencies. A typical day begins with a team meeting, followed by trip planning, asset management updates, and lab work or site visits to complete work orders.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We seek an individual who can work confidently at heights of up to 300 feet and is capable of climbing towers. The role will require frequent travel, sometimes for consecutive weeks depending on the project and location. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to follow instructions, and enthusiastic about learning.

- Required: valid driver's license
- Requires frequent travel that will occasionally include weekend travel.
- This position is overtime eligible.
