LPN School Nurse

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide nursing care and support in a school health room setting. This role involves delivering appropriate nursing care, managing high volumes of student health needs, and performing therapeutic procedures as directed by a registered nurse. The LVN/LPN must work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of students throughout the school day. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license valid in Washington State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required.
• Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of student health needs efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience working in nursing or healthcare settings, preferably with pediatric or school-aged populations.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in school health rooms or pediatric nursing.
• Additional certifications relevant to school nursing or pediatric care.

Special Considerations:

• Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and managing multiple students throughout the day.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Position requires working during school hours and managing health needs in an educational setting.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 8:50 AM to 4:20 PM shift.
• 7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• Contract dates from September 3, 2026, to June 17, 2027.
