Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

This entry-level position within the manufacturing area is primarily responsible for performing various extruder responsibilities, including running the line, setting up, and conducting changeovers. The role involves weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department, ensuring the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct documentation for the batch.
• Ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Obtain the correct ingredients for mixing and weigh them out to meet recipe specifications.
• Set up and start any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating and safety procedures.
• Safely and neatly process, batch off, screen, cut up, package, and/or skid material to the correct size/container according to customer specifications.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork and documents.

Essential Skills

• Machine operation experience (extrusion machine, injection molding machine, or other machine operation experience).
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs. and occasionally handle up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to be on feet all day, kneel, and crouch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is nice to have.
• Any mixing experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and organized, with machines running that create a louder atmosphere, but not too loud to prevent communication with colleagues. The environment has a distinct plastic smell. The position requires working the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
