Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, recognizing arrhythmias and intervening per protocol
- Administer and manage cardiac medications/drips with no titration; monitor effects and safety
- Provide post-procedure and post-event care (post-cath/post-MI) and assist with relevant assessments
- External pacemaker monitoring and chest tube monitoring as indicated
- Perform IV starts; care for PICCs/central lines; follow heparin protocol requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Unit Secretary, Interpretation services) to coordinate care and ensure patient safety

Requirements
- Active RN license in Illinois required at time of submittal; Missouri license may be accepted without at submittal—confirm
- Years of nursing experience: 2 years
- Certifications: BCLS (required), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (required)
- ACLS: Preferred; ACLS required for Barnes-Jewish location only
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- Local rule: No local candidates within 75 miles
- Orientation/compliance: Labs and pre-start modules required; fit-testing with compatible facial hair
- Ability to work in an inpatient cardiac telemetry setting and participate in a variable nightly schedule
