Position Overview:

The Warranty Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, review, and communication of Service Technician scheduling for Warranty related tasks, HCR projects, and Maintenance clients. This is a customer service driven role, and the right candidate will embody and perpetuate our vision and goal of “clients for life.”. There are a core set of responsibilities that must fall under the purview of this position, but outside of the core responsibilities this position can be molded to the individual depending on their level of experience and skillset. HCR is a very tight-knit team with a heavy reliance on cooperation and collaborative problem solving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the creation, update, and maintenance of Warranty Team schedules.
• Communicate assignments and changes to work schedules to field staff, Trade Partners, and clients.

• Coordinate all service and warranty activities at Melton Design Build to maximize Client Satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability.
• Emergency Response: Not ‘on call’, Clients will be provided emergency contacts, but in the case of an escalation or quick response, the coordinator is responsible for capture of information and dispatch during office hours.
• Attending first visits and/or connecting with clients at their homes to review specific issues on occasion.
• Warranty account set up and management.

• Work with manufacturers, vendors, and Trade Partners on Warranty related issues/claims.
• Work with Marketing to deliver a consistent message to our clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma

• Experience in scheduling and dispatching field employees preferred
• Experience with residential construction a plus

• Moderate computer literacy (proficient with Word, Excel, Smartsheets, and Outlook)

• Excellent client communication and follow-through.

• Have demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing direction and priorities, as necessary.

• Superior organization, communication, and the ability to listen well.
• Ability to work through troublesome situations in a calm and professional manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficient in using a computer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and QuickBooks
• Effective oral and written communication skills required for the position.
• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Experience with residential construction a plus.
• Experience with Smartsheets and Outlook a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to ten pounds at times.
