IT Support Specialist Billerica, MA Role Summary The IT Support Specialist serves as a key frontline resource for employee technology support, delivering timely, high‑quality service across end‑user computing, account access, hardware and software deployment, and issue resolution. Responsibilities Act as primary IT contact for end users, delivering responsive & professional support by phone, email, and in person. Prepare, image, and deploy computers and software; set up user accounts and provide basic system orientation and training. Troubleshoot hardware, software, access, and connectivity issues; escalating or resolving incidents in line with service expectations. Maintain accurate ticket updates, support documentation, and knowledge resources to improve service continuity and user experience. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned systems or applications and help manage related vendor interactions and internal documentation. Participate in on‑call support and occasional after‑hours work to support system changes, maintenance, or urgent business needs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of technical certifications and relevant work experience. 3+ years of experience providing IT end‑user support in a corporate environment. Hands‑on experience supporting Windows11, Microsoft Office365, Active Directory, and basic network troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting ApplemacOS environments. Working knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools. Familiarity with Wi‑Fi technologies, including 802.1x or similar security protocols. Basic understanding of Cisco or comparable switching and routing concepts. Experience supporting audio/visual conferencing tools, including Microsoft Teams. Experience working in a healthcare, medical device, or other regulated environment. Dependability and professionalism, including ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and support business needs with flexibility. Physical requirements: Travel up to 10% of time; lift/carry up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
