Physician Assistant

US Department of War

Duties

Perform a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties within the field of General Practice and Family Medicine.

Perform medical screening examinations in an inpatient or outpatient setting for patients of all ages.

Secure health and medical history from the patient or family member.

Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders and injuries.

Coordinate care with patients and collaborates with physicians when specialized medical management is necessary.

Write discharge orders, complete and dictate discharge summary, and provide patient treatment and follow-up for specialty patient population.

Coordinate patient and family education.
