Contract Specialist

Our client, a leader in the bioanalytical and pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their team. As a Contract Specialist, you will be part of the Contract Management Department supporting the Technical Assessment Group (TAG). The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $30.00

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30-5 with a 30 min meal

What's the Job?

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Technical Assessment Group (TAG) by managing intake and triage of new requests.
  • Assign workload effectively across team members based on service area, capacity, and complexity.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of requests, assignments, and deliverables within project management systems.
  • Monitor project timelines, follow up on outstanding activities, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support proposal activities and workload planning.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life science discipline.
  • Professional experience in a scientific, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or related environment.
  • Ability to interpret scientific and technical information to identify relevant services or technical areas.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
