The company operates in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment and is adding two Logistics Coordinators to its overnight operations team in Columbus. This is a fully onsite opportunity ideal for someone who is comfortable working overnight, monitoring time-sensitive shipments, communicating with drivers and internal teams, and quickly addressing issues that could impact pickups or deliveries.Available Overnight ShiftsTwo contractors will be hired for third-shift coverage:9:00 PM – 6:00 AM10:00 PM – 7:00 AMThe operation runs Monday through Sunday. Candidates must be comfortable with overnight hours and working weekends based on their assigned schedule.What You'll DoCoordinate and monitor carrier shipments to support on-time pickups and deliveriesMonitor inbound and outbound load movements using internal tracking systems and transportation toolsMaintain communication with carriers, drivers, shippers, and internal operations teamsIdentify shipment delays, missed pickups, delivery issues, or other exceptions and escalate appropriatelyProvide timely shipment status updates and assist with resolving transportation issuesReview and update shipment documentation, including purchase orders, bills of lading, invoices, and related recordsMaintain accurate shipment information within internal systemsCollaborate with operations and dispatch teams to keep shipments moving efficientlyFollow established procedures for shipment tracking, communication, scheduling, and escalationProvide dependable overnight coverage in a fast-paced logistics environmentWhat We're Looking ForPrevious logistics, transportation, freight, dispatch, shipping, supply chain, or operations experience preferredExperience monitoring shipments, loads, deliveries, or transportation activity strongly preferredStrong communication skills and comfort speaking with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teamsStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentationAbility to troubleshoot problems and respond quickly when issues ariseComfortable working independently during overnight hoursReliable attendance and ability to consistently work a third-shift scheduleStrong computer skills and ability to learn transportation and shipment-tracking systemsIdeal BackgroundCandidates may come from freight brokerage, transportation, trucking, dispatch, 3PL, warehouse logistics, shipping and receiving, distribution, carrier operations, or other time-sensitive logistics environments. Previous third-shift or overnight experience is highly preferred.Work Location Columbus, OH 43218This position is fully onsite. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance and have reliable transportation to and from the worksite during overnight hours.
