Traveling Orthodontic Assistant

Family Orthodontics - Smyrna & Union City, GA

Family Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced practice. This position will travel between our

Smyrna and Union City locations.

Schedule: 4 days per week | 7:15 AM-4:30 PM

Travel pay provided

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience required.
Internship/externship experience does not count toward the one-year requirement.
Must be comfortable traveling between Smyrna and Union City.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.

Must Have Experience:

Assisting with bonding and debonding procedures.
Placing and removing orthodontic wires.
Changing archwires, elastics, and power chains.
Placing orthodontic separators.
Taking impressions and/or digital scans.
Taking orthodontic X-rays and photographs.
Preparing patients for orthodontic procedures.
Providing instructions for elastics, retainers, and orthodontic appliances.
Performing orthodontic records and chart documentation.
Sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas.
Assisting the orthodontist with other clinical procedures as needed.
