Contractor, Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist (Contractor) is essential to the growth of our organization, providing vital support to Adicet Bio's procurement activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with R&D, G&A, and Technical Operations teams to ensure efficient procurement of lab and office supplies, manage vendor relationships, facilitate order processing, communicate with stakeholders, generate reports, and perform other essential purchasing activities to maximize buying power and create value. Key Responsibilities Manage vendor relationships and ensure supplier details meet company standards and expectations. Issue purchase orders for laboratory and office supplies in a timely and efficient manner. Follow up with suppliers on order statuses and provide order and shipment updates to stakeholders. Update banking details after receiving approval from finance and ensure payment information is accurate and up to date. Create bi-weekly reports showcasing purchases and identifying goods received to AP team in preparation for invoice payment. Analyze purchasing trends and recommend process improvements to streamline procurement activities. Work closely with Sr. Manager, Procurement to ensure all procurement activities are completed on time and within budget. Communicate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and ensure documentation is up to date and readily available. Skills And Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a biotech, laboratory, or manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills, time-management, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of management. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel reporting, and experience with Procure to Pay software. Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. Hourly Pay: $45—$63 USD Work Environment & Benefits Adicet fosters a collaborative, high-performing environment with on-site requirements.
