TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40508!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required. License: Compact or state license required at time of submission. Certifications: BLS required. EKG exam required during onboarding. Must-Have: - Experience with post-operative surgical patients, particularly in Orthopedics and Gastrointestinal surgeries. - Strong attention to detail. - Familiarity with orthopedic equipment and wound vacs. Description: This is a 23-bed medical-surgical unit. It cares for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients. The unit experiences a high volume, usually receiving 10-20 post-operative patients per day. There are capabilities for cardiac and oxygen monitoring. Nursing requirements include both medical and surgical skill sets and BLS. ACLS is not a requirement. Candidates should be prepared to float to other units within their skill set. Local travelers within a specified radius are not accepted. The unit functions with a high turnover rate. Candidates must be comfortable with multiple admissions and discharges per shift. Compliance requirements involve various competency and pharmacology exams. Candidates will participate in billable modules during orientation and annually. This unit includes interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient diagnoses primarily include post-operative patients, as well as medicine patients.
