RN - ER Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 Proficiency in Meditech charting system preferred Description:This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Room.The role involves managing a broad range of patient diagnoses.Common patient conditions include UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, viral illnesses, and abdominal complaints.The nurse must possess skills in management of dysrhythmias and central line care.Experience with IV vasopressors and BiPAP/CPAP management is essential.Care of ventilated patients and knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE are required.The nurse will be responsible for triage and special procedures such as moderate sedation and RSI.Familiarity with special equipment including nitrous oxide, glidescope, fluid warmers, and rapid infusers is necessary.Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, social services, and unit secretaries will be available.The position is expected to maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
