Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Badge Specialist in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, communication, integrity, and a people-first culture while delivering reliable service in an innovative environment.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials where required, and document security-related incidents, visitor activity, and/or daily observations in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support emergency response activities and follow post orders for a dynamic technology location where working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
