Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support U.S. and Canadian payroll operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll data integrity, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting employees with payroll-related questions.

What You'll Do

Payroll Processing

• Process end-to-end payroll on weekly and bi-weekly schedules

• Gather, validate, and input payroll data, including:

• Hours worked

• Overtime

• Bonuses

• Deductions

• Other payroll adjustments

• Reconcile payroll data prior to payroll transmission

• Review and validate payroll reports for accuracy

Compliance & Record Management

• Ensure compliance with:

• Federal regulations

• State and provincial requirements

• Local tax regulations

• Wage and hour laws

• Company policies

• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data

• Support internal and external audit activities

Payroll Administration

• Manage:

• Garnishments

• Benefits deductions

• Tax withholdings

• Payroll adjustments

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors

• Support payroll-related process improvements

• Assist with data validation between Time & Attendance and payroll systems

• Help drive payroll accuracy and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of payroll experience

• Experience processing payroll in a:

• Multi-state environment

• Multi-province environment

• National payroll environment

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:

• Spreadsheet creation

• Data analysis

• Cross-referencing

• Formulas and reporting

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:

• ADP GlobalView

• Oracle HCM

• Knowledge of:

• U.S. payroll regulations

• Canadian payroll regulations

• Federal, state/provincial, and local payroll requirements

• Experience with Time & Attendance systems and payroll integration

• Bachelor's degree in:

• Accounting

• Finance

• Business

• Related field

• Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills

• Experience in payroll audits and compliance activities

Pay Details: $42.00 per hour
