Trillium Professional is now seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for direct-hire in Charlotte, NC! Seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to oversee certified payroll, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship compliance for utility‑scale construction projects. This is a replacement position with an immediate need. This is 100% onsite. The annual salary is $110k/year. Apply now! Qualifications and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience reviewing and verifying subcontractor certified payroll (WH‑347 or equivalent), ensuring Davis‑Bacon/prevailing wage compliance, resolving payroll discrepancies, and maintaining audit‑ready documentation. Experience with LCPtracker is strongly preferred; comparable labor compliance platforms will be considered. The successful candidate will work directly with subcontractors, making strong communication, relationship‑building, patience, and follow‑through just as important as technical expertise. Experience with apprenticeship tracking, OJT hours, or IRA Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements is a plus but not required, as those areas can be learned. Candidates should have a strong foundation in certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance rather than IRA‑specific experience. Initial recruiting efforts should focus on local Charlotte candidates; however, relocation assistance may be considered for an exceptional candidate if a qualified local candidate cannot be identified.
