Senior Scientist II, Biotransformation and Disposition

Senior Scientist II role supporting drug discovery through design and execution of biotransformation and ADME studies. Applies expertise in drug metabolism, mass spectrometry, and analytical chemistry to guide compound development and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and interpret in vitro and in vivo biotransformation studies to identify metabolites and clearance mechanisms
• Perform metabolite profiling and structural elucidation using LC-MS/MS and high-resolution mass spectrometry techniques
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot chromatographic and mass spectrometric methods including radiolabeled compound assays
• Communicate scientific findings to project teams through presentations, technical reports, and regulatory documents
• Mentor colleagues and evaluate emerging technologies to improve data quality and analytical throughput

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or Life Sciences with 4+ years relevant experience; Master's with 8+ years; or Bachelor's with 10+ years
• Demonstrated expertise in mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and metabolite profiling
• Strong knowledge of drug metabolism, DMPK processes, and structure elucidation
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: peptide biotransformation expertise and hands-on experience with high-resolution mass spectrometers
