Manager, Government Affairs (m/w/d)

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Manager of Government Affairs to support the company's political advocacy within Germany's healthcare system. The role involves monitoring healthcare-policy developments, building stakeholder networks, and developing policy positions that align with the company's strategic interests.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze healthcare-policy developments at federal and EU levels; prepare findings for stakeholders
- Develop and implement policy positions through position papers, briefings, and arguments on key healthcare questions
- Build and maintain networks with political decision-makers, ministries, associations, and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with industry associations and external partners in working groups and coordinated initiatives
- Serve as internal liaison between government affairs and market access, medical, communications, and leadership teams
Requirements
- Degree in political science, economics, law, health sciences, or comparable field
- 2–5 years relevant experience in healthcare policy, ministries, associations, or pharmaceutical industry
- Foundational knowledge of German healthcare system and pharmaceutical-policy issues
- Strong communication and networking skills with demonstrated relationship-building ability
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken
- Analytical thinking, structured work style, and ability to communicate complex matters clearly
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools; familiarity with AI-supported applications
