Staff Accountant

Corporate Finance Team MemberMember of the corporate finance team responsible for recording financial transactions of the company to facilitate payment activity and to support the accuracy and completeness of the organization's financial records.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Record Transactions, Reconcile Accounts, and Prepare Analysis:Follow established policies and procedures to accurately maintain the organization's financial records.Initiate cash transactions to facilitate payment activity.Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting guidance to accurately record financial transactions.Reconcile and review account reconciliations to support the accuracy and completeness of general ledger balances.Prepare spreadsheets and other financial reports by collecting and analyzing accounting information.Decision Support and Process Improvement:Evaluate existing accounting policies and procedures and recommend changes for greater efficiency and service delivery.Other Duties as Assigned:Participate in other department projects as appropriate.Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, preferably accounting.2+ years of relevant work experience required.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
