Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and union contract termsHigh proficiency in Payroll processes with ability to resolve complex queries between Tier 2-3Handle errors/escalations from process partners, HRs and provide RCA plan to Team/Process LeadReview, Analyse, and Escalate complex queries to appropriate owners (inside or outside of HR)Take ownership of deliverables and put them into action in the absence of the manager, including day-to-day processing decisions and off-cycle approvals; escalate vendor payment issues and policy exceptions to the ManagerUpdate and/or Review SOP's and process-maps on a regular basis based on new inputs/changes/updates and work with content owners to ensure documents are up to dateOwn Quality Check process on the Key/Critical HR transactions processed by team as defined in the Quality framework. Test payroll risk controls on a regular basis to identify, mitigate, and remediate issues and control gapsAdherence to agreed KPIs, KRAs, SLAs and customer service standardsManaging stakeholder calls with the US process owners/partners on a regular basis and ensures required documentationAbility to challenge the status quo and implement process improvements to enhance the end user and people partner experience.Co-ordination with Payroll vendors/local HR's/Finance/Team for Payroll and managing payroll activities as per the defined calendar/timelines.Manage process training/team trainings which includes new hire sessions, knowledge transfer sessions, process update sessionsJob InvolvementsPayroll Administration:Lead end-to-end payroll processes, including complex data entry, calculations, and deductions for multiple states and jurisdictionsEnsure strict adherence to federal, state, and local tax requirements across all operating locationsOversee validation of payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory complianceServe as primary liaison with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to resolve complex payroll-related issues and discrepanciesMonitor and implement changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring organizational complianceProvide expert-level resolution for escalated employee payroll inquiries within established timeframesData Analysis and Reporting:Conduct advanced analysis of payroll data to identify trends, anomalies, and strategic improvement opportunitiesGenerate comprehensive adhoc and standardized reports for senior managementLead detailed audits to validate accuracy and integrity of payroll systems and processesProvide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to executive leadership based on comprehensive data analysisDevelop and maintain key performance indicators for payroll operationsProcess Optimization:Champion opportunities for streamlining payroll processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing data integrity.Drive system enhancements and upgrades, providing input on payroll system requirements.Co-ordinate cross-functional initiatives with HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure optimize payroll processing.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, with demonstrated expertise in multi-state payroll administration.Administer understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.Proficiency in payroll software and systems specifically SAP GV ADP and Workday.Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant/tight deadlines.Knowledge on MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with good command on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
