Senior Payroll Specialist Needed .

We are an accounting firm on the north side of the city looking for a payroll specialist to run our in-house payroll service.

Our clients are small to medium-sized businesses throughout the Chicagoland area with a few out-of-state. The employee counts range from 1 to 50. Our firm is looking to increase the size of this service.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environment juggling multiple on-going tasks, works efficiently in a self-directed manner, and possesses a can-do attitude. Customer service orientation and friendly manner is a must. The position requires 3+ years of relevant payroll experience within a payroll service provider or managing a company's payroll.

Payroll Tax Return preparation experience a PLUS

The hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday in our office.

Skills Required:

The ability to categorize, organized client data
The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers and other professionals
The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
Ability to Setup & input payrolls accurately

Knowledge of Multi-State payroll processing a MUST.

Ability to electronically file returns
A strong commitment to the profession

Job Requirements

3 years Payroll experience
Knowledge of Accountant's World Payroll Software is a Plus

Salary is between $50,000 to $80,000 annually
