We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Receptionist to support front-desk operations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment while managing calls and administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The role will serve as a key point of contact for visitors and callers, helping maintain smooth day-to-day office operations.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome visitors, provide direction, and ensure a positive first impression for all guests entering the office.

• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, routing them to the appropriate contacts, and taking clear messages when needed.

• Handle front-desk communications effectively, responding to general inquiries from callers and visitors in a timely manner.

• Maintain an organized reception area and support daily administrative activities that keep the office running efficiently.

• Coordinate basic clerical tasks such as distributing information, tracking messages, and assisting with routine office requests.

• Monitor incoming calls across multiple phone lines while prioritizing urgent matters and ensuring accurate call handling.

• Prior experience performing front-desk or receptionist duties in a detail-oriented office setting.
• Ability to operate a multi-line or switchboard phone system with confidence and accuracy.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous, service-oriented approach when interacting with callers and visitors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to support a part-time schedule from Monday through Friday.
