Clinical Coordinator EHS - Contract

Registered Nurse
Duties: Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks: Is well organized and uses time effectively and efficiently. Follows through on multiple step assignments. Demonstrate willingness to accept and exercise management-level responsibility. Displays ability to take initiative in a positive manner. Demonstrates ability to be firm and forceful, as the situation requires. Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Accomplishes all claimant referrals for diagnostic and specialist work. Provides follow up as needed. Accumulates all data for reporting/prepares reports. Understands and utilizes computerized occupational health management system. Provides clinical support services at multiple off-site locations as required. Coordinates site schedule with assigned network coordinator. Gathers data of all services provided off site and submits to network coordinator. Prepares all necessary medical supplies to go off site. Provides educational programs in conjunction with other staff. Assists with venipuncture, EKG and other clinical duties as assigned. Demonstrate knowledge of action, dosage and side effects of medication allowed by NYS law. Demonstrate competency in performing treatments and procedures, including blood drawing, EKG test administration, vision and audio tests, spirometry and fit testing, urine drug collection, breath alcohol testing. Assists in the development and implementation of protocols for efficient and optimal patient care. Provides for the safety of patients, staff and other employees and visitors in the clinical environment. Participates in on-going QI/QA programs. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area.
Skills: Participates in the development of other staff members. Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements. Identifies learning strengths and needs. Utilizes learning resources. Willingly shares information with other members of the health care team and utilizes experience and expertise to assist less experienced and less knowledgeable members of the team. Proactively seeks out more experienced and/or senior/supervisory members of the health care team to solicit information, ask questions, seek guidance when needed.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program, minimum of B.S.N., or equivalent experience. Current NYS license/registration. Current CPR certification. Membership in appropriate professional health organizations, i.e., AAOHN.
