Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Part Time Lobby in Los Angeles, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control tasks, and front desk support activities.
• Monitor lobby and reception areas, check in guests, verify credentials, and document visitor activity in accordance with property guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details to appropriate contacts.
• Answer phones, assist with directions, manage inquiries, and support communication between building management, tenants, and/or vendors.
• Observe front desk and entrance activity to help identify security-related concerns and follow established emergency response procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience in a security-related role is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
