The team focuses on total rewards, talent, and HR operations, delivering holistic, cross‑functional M&A services that include finance, IT, and operational functions. The HR M&A practice is a specialty team within PEPI, offering a broad range of human‑capital support on both the buy and sell sides. Transaction advisors leverage financial, technical, operational, and industry expertise to identify and quantify issues that may impact or shape the transaction. Typical engagements for the HR M&A practice include: Pre‑acquisition human‑capital due diligence, focusing on employee benefits, remuneration plans (defined benefit pensions, pre‑ and post‑retirement welfare plans, equity compensation programs) Review and implementation of HR cost‑saving and revenue‑enhancement solutions for private‑equity portfolio companies Post‑acquisition human‑capital consulting support, including merger integration and divestiture support Workforce management following transaction activity, including organization design, talent selection, and redundancy management Responsibilities We are seeking a Senior Associate‑level project manager for a dedicated PEPI HR M&A position. A strong candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in an HR consulting role. Candidates may not need to be explicitly dedicated to M&A work but should have depth in a given area such as retirement/actuarial, healthcare/benefits, executive compensation, or HR operations. HR generalists with strong project‑management skills are also welcome; preference will be given to those with depth in total rewards or prior M&A experience. Specific responsibilities include: Preparing initial observations through public document reviews Reviewing virtual data rooms and preparing subsequent request lists Building and managing financial models (workforce planning tools, total rewards quantification, compensation planning, etc.) Coordinating across other practice groups within A&M Contributing to Human Capital diligence reports Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, actuarial science, statistics, economics, mathematics, business, accounting, or finance 3–6 years of relevant experience Strong analytical skills; high proficiency with Microsoft Office products Prior M&A experience highly considered Outstanding oral and written communication skills Flexible work schedule; M&A projects often involve tight timelines Your journey at A&M We recognize that our people are our most valuable asset.
