Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join our fast-paced team. This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Bookkeeping Manager will also perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. This role requires a high level of proficiency in bookkeeping and financial management, and a keen understanding of the sales industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closes.
• Prepare and analyze financial schedules on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll.
• Review and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Coordinate or assist with the budget process.
• Manage and mentor members of the accounting team.
• Collaborate with the sales team to better understand revenue and costs, find opportunities for efficiency and growth, and provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, and experience with accounting software.
• Experience with month-end close, preparing financial schedules, journal entry preparation, and general ledger.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
