Sartiano's at the Mercer Hotel99 Prince Street The Role You are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for the guest experience. There will be times you answer the phone, take reservations, and be responsible for seating guests throughout the restaurant. You are available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome guests and escort them to their tables while providing personalized assistance Operate SevenRooms reservation platform, keeping the Maître D’ and Management team updated on cancellations, late arrivals, and walk‑ins Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs Perform opening and closing duties, as needed Qualifications & Disposition Must have a minimum 1 year experience as a restaurant host in an upscale or fine dining environment Proficient in Reservation Management platforms Flexible schedule based on the needs of Sartiano's Passion and knowledge of food & beverage operations Ability to build tasteful and respectful relationships with guests Professional, tactful, and well‑versed in conflict resolution Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401k with employer match Daily family meal provided Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that are to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
