Representing the “Best of Southern” cuisine, Jacob’s Pickles offers signature Southern comfort food and warm hospitality paired with a variety of American craft beers and cocktails. We pride ourselves in making a commitment to our community, while developing strong relationships with local farmers and purveyors.
We are looking for an experiened Maitre D' or Lead Host to join our leadership team. As a busy restaurant with a VERY BUSY front door, we are looking for the right candidate who understands the value of a warm and friendly demeanor towards all guests while driving business by maximizing seating at all times. Embodying hospitality and warm, welcoming energy. Setting the example at the host stand to drive business and accommodate as many people as possible. Pushing on the weekend and holiday shifts.
Monitoring reservations through Resy and providing updates to the management when cover count exceeds the usualy amount so that we may have the appropriate staff to accommodate.
Monitoring reservations through Resy for upcoming holidays and working with management/calling guests to move reservation times to avoid overbooking time slots.
Plotting busy shifts such as Friday night and the weekends as well as anchoring on all necessary shifts.
Providing guests with menu questions or concerns, both in house and over the phone (this includes our drink menu).
Training new members of the team.
Reading our daily Resy reviews and investigating host stand complaints, if necessary, in efforts to devise a better course of action.
Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the host stand.
