Growing together.The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting Optum Technology's quarterly revenue forecasting and annual rate-setting processes. This position partners closely with technology service owners, finance teams, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders to develop accurate forecasts, maintain financial models, validate business assumptions, and support enterprise chargeback and revenue recovery activities.This role offers substantial ownership and visibility, with responsibility for coordinating forecasting activities across multiple stakeholders while driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting. The analyst will have the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide financial decisions while helping shape the future direction of key finance operations.Primary Responsibilities: Revenue ForecastingSupport and coordinate the quarterly revenue forecasting cycle for Optum Technology servicesPartner with internal service teams, Optum Technology leaders, segment finance organizations, and finance leadership to collect, validate, and analyze forecast assumptionsMaintain forecasting models and supporting analyses used to project technology revenue recoveryIdentify, investigate, and explain forecast variances, emerging trends, and financial risksDevelop executive-ready reporting, presentations, and financial summaries for leadership reviewDrive accountability for forecast accuracy within assigned areas of ownershipRecommend and implement process improvements that increase forecasting efficiency, accuracy, and transparencyEstablish strong working relationships across finance, operations, and technology organizationsSecondary Responsibilities: Rate Card & RecostingSupport the annual Optum Technology Rate Card and Recosting process for approximately 100 technology servicesMaintain and enhance financial models used in the development of service rates and chargeback methodologiesCoordinate data intake, validation, and reconciliation activities across multiple stakeholdersPartner with service owners and finance teams to ensure cost, volume, and allocation inputs are complete and accuratePerform financial analyses to evaluate rate drivers, cost changes, volume impacts, and recovery assumptionsSupport governance activities, documentation standards, and financial controls related to the rate-setting processIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual activities, and improve reporting capabilitiesAssist with the development of recurring management reporting and audit-ready support documentationParticipate in the implementation of process enhancements that improve scalability and operational effectivenessYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or related fieldExperience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, corporate finance, accounting, or related analytical rolesExperience in working with large datasets and performing detailed financial analysisProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and complex formulasCommunication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to diverse audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentThis position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with supporting forecasting, budgeting, chargeback, cost allocation, or rate-setting processesExperience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Alteryx, or similar analytical toolsExperience with partnering across finance, operations, and technology organizationsExposure to process improvement methodologies or automation initiativesKnowledge of technology finance, IT cost recovery, or shared service financial modelsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment.
