Summary Responsible for implementation and execution of Deposit Operations process audits. Partner with multiple departments within Deposit Operations to ensure high risk processes are designed and executed in accordance with BCU policies, state, and federal regulations. Communicate results of audits to management and make recommendations to address deficiencies or efficiency opportunities. Role and Responsibilities Develop and communicate an annual audit plan focused on high‑risk processes. Create and execute a risk‑based audit process for each deposit process in the annual audit plan, testing for regulatory, policy and process compliance. Establish and update procedures related to quality assurance audits. Work closely with process owners and review processes to identify risks and controls. Monitor the effectiveness of existing controls, processes and procedures and provide recommendations to management. Deliver metric reporting and other data‑driven deliverables promptly and accurately. Develop efficient methods using PowerBI and SQL for testing and sampling strategies, including automation. Proactively identify potential business risks, process deficiencies and improvement opportunities, and recommend controls and corrective actions. Maintain effective communication with process owners and support teams to remediate errors; track implementation of corrective actions. Audit third‑party vendors to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met. Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by coordinating retrieval of documents and performing required testing. Participate in project teams for new initiatives in a consulting capacity, helping navigate audit or compliance issues. Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum of 3 years related experience in a credit union, banking or financial environment. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business or related field. Understanding of regulations concerning consumer deposit products. Business acumen with an operational focus. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with management. Excellent follow‑up skills, detail oriented and well organized. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to assess risk and document internal controls. Proficiency with Symitar, Akcelerant, Salesforce and MS Office Suite. Salary Base salary range: $68,000–$102,000 USD annually.
