Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of stormwater management systems, including detention, retention, and water quality solutions.
- Design and prepare plans for roadway improvements, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, and water distribution infrastructure for both public and private projects.
- Develop engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documents using industry-standard design software.
- Support project delivery through all phases, including planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Conduct site visits and construction observations to verify compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff as needed.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Iowa required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
- Strong experience with civil site design, municipal infrastructure, and stormwater management.
- Proficiency with civil engineering design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar platforms.
- Ability to travel periodically to project sites and office locations as required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of delivering successful engineering projects and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
