Senior Accountant
The City of Williamsburg's Finance Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. At a glance:
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Three (3) to five (5) years of finance/accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience within an ERP database or similar accounting system
- Valid Virginia Driver's License
Preferred:
- Previous government finance experience and knowledge of municipal finance laws and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of accounting/auditing theory, GAAP, and GASB statements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
