Take on a full-time, contract position supporting students in grades 5 through 8, focusing on ELA and Math instruction as a Resource Teacher. With a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday, this role offers extended weekends and an opportunity to deliver high-impact instruction while enjoying a unique work-life balance.
Your caseload will include approximately 30 students, allowing you to build strong, individualized relationships and collaborate closely with fellow educators. Throughout the school year, your specialized skills will foster growth in both academic competence and confidence for learners needing extra support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience in adapting ELA and Math curriculum for diverse learning needs
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain thorough documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative attitude and effective communication with students, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide resource support to students with varying needs in grades 5-8
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction in ELA and Math
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to reach students at all ability levels
- Maintain clear records and provide regular updates on student progress
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff
