Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a Special Education Teacher in a K-2 Autism Spectrum Disorder classroom. In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with other passionate educators, making a daily difference for young students with unique learning needs. Your expertise will help foster growth, independence, and confidence in every child.
Position Details:
- Contract position available for immediate start
- Classroom setting: K-2 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Consistent schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45am–3:15pm
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credentials
- Experience or strong interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Familiarity with IEP processes and adapting curriculum to individual student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and support staff
- Compassionate, patient approach to behavioral and academic interventions
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions for students with ASD
- Engage in regular progress monitoring and contribute to IEP meetings
- Create a welcoming and structured classroom environment that nurtures student growth
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and therapists to provide comprehensive support
