Accounts Payable Specialist

 

Location: Glendale Heights, IL

Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly

Pay: $26.96 - $29.25 per hour

 

Join our Accounting team! Chicago Blower Corporation, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.

Verify pricing, quantities, and general ledger coding.

Prepare payment batches and process vendor payments.

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor records.

Maintain Accounts Payable files and records.

Assist with month-end Accounts Payable closing.

 

Additional Accounting Responsibilities:

Process daily customer billing and approved credit memos.

Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements.

Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable functions.

Assist with fixed assets, record retention, and other accounting duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable experience required.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.
