Bookkeeper
Required Skills & Experience• 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related financial experience • Experience processing high volumes of transactions and documentation • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot data issues • Comfortable communicating with various departments and stakeholders to collect required information • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Experience using NetSuite • Previous experience supporting month-end close activities • General accounting knowledge including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, or reconciliations
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Bookkeeper to support the accounting team of a growing transportation and logistics company in Lombard, IL. This individual will assist with high-volume bookkeeping and accounting support functions while helping the team manage workload during a transitional period. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience working with financial systems, and the ability to independently manage large volumes of transactions and documentation. Responsibilities • Review and validate financial transactions for accuracy and completeness • Ensure supporting documentation is received, organized, and properly attached within accounting systems • Investigate discrepancies between operating systems and NetSuite • Review employee expenses and verify proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation • Follow up with branch offices and employees regarding missing receipts, invoices, and expense documentation • Perform data integrity audits across multiple financial systems • Assist with month-end close activities and transaction reconciliation • Support accounting processes related to vendor payments, expenses, and operational transactions • Monitor and maintain accurate financial records within NetSuite and other internal systems • Work closely with senior accounting staff to help alleviate high-volume transactional work
