Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratios. 48-hour work weeks approved. Weekend coverage includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule to fulfill unit needs. Flexibility to float between ICU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds providing short-term acute care
• Complex case mix including cardiovascular surgery, trauma, neurosurgery, and general surgery patients
• Advanced critical care equipment including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Epic electronic medical record system
• 12-hour orientation provided with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Strong cardiovascular ICU and neuro ICU experience required (must demonstrate advanced proficiency)
• Experience with ventilator management, chest tubes, central lines, external ventricular drains (EVDs), arterial line management, and lab interpretation
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
