ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will be instrumental in achieving our business goals by ensuring proper reimbursement for patient care services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the Patient Assessment Process by completing items on the MDS and the associated Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
- Assisting in the creation of individualized patient care plans, identifying patient needs and expected outcomes in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
- Contributing to the nursing center's interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while adhering to RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic submission of the MDS.
- Recognizing changes in patient conditions alongside the interdisciplinary team and coordinating the scheduling and execution of necessary assessments.
- Providing training on Activities of Daily Living for new hires and ongoing education for existing staff.
- Attending educational programs to stay updated on current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
- Must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license in good standing with the state.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or similar healthcare environment is essential.
- Experience in completing MDSs and Care Plans is required.
- Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care, is necessary.
